The Texas A&M Engineering Academy at Tarrant County College is an innovative co-enrollment program that provides a pathway to students interested in pursuing an engineering degree at Texas A&M University. Students admitted to the Engineering Academy at Tarrant County College are Texas A&M engineering students co-enrolled at Texas A&M University in the College of Engineering and at Tarrant County College.

Prequalification requirements:  
You must satisfy one of the math readiness criteria to be qualified for the Engineering Academy: 

  • Course accepted to show college readiness: MATH 1316 (trigonometry or higher) 
  • Exam and score for pre-calculus: ALEKS: 61+ 
  • Exam and score for calculus 1: ALEKS: 76+ 
  • Students Can use SAT/ACT scores to bypass TSI, but all students must take ALEKS unless they have college-level trigonometry or higher completed 
  • Students must get permission from someone at TCC to take the ALEKS test 

You must have all official documents submitted to TCC before they will prequalify you: high school transcripts, college transcripts, SAT/ACT scores.
