The Texas A&M Engineering Academy at Alamo Colleges District is an innovative co-enrollment program that provides a pathway for students interested in pursuing an engineering degree at Texas A&M University. Students admitted to the Engineering Academy at Alamo Colleges District are Texas A&M engineering students co-enrolled at Texas A&M University's College of Engineering and at the Alamo Colleges District Northeast Lakeview College campus. 

Prequalification requirements: 
You must satisfy one of the math readiness criteria to be qualified for the Engineering Academy: 

  • College Students: Math 1414 or higher or current college transcripts show credit for college algebra, trigonometry, pre-calculus or calculus I with a grade of A, B or C 
  • Current high school student who has completed algebra II, honors pre-calculus, pre-AP pre-calculus or AP calculus course with a grade of A, B or C 
  • Standard Examination: Have an ACT math score of at least 26 or an SAT math score of at least 580 
  • No GPA requirement, but Northeast Lakeview College does not pre-qualify students who show obvious signs of struggle in math
