The Texas A&M Engineering Academy at Austin Community College is an innovative co-enrollment program that provides a pathway to students interested in pursuing an engineering degree at Texas A&M University. Students admitted to the Engineering Academy at Austin Community College are Texas A&M University engineering students co-enrolled at Texas A&M University in the College of Engineering and at Austin Community College Highland Campus. 

Prequalification requirements: 
You must satisfy one of the math readiness criteria to be qualified for the Engineering Academy:  

  • Exam and scores for pre-calculus: ALEKS Math: 65 
  • Exam and scores for calculus 1: ALEKS Math 80 
  • Course accepted to show college readiness for college students: MATH 1414 or pre-calculus OnRamps
