The Texas A&M-Chevron Engineering Academy at Dallas College is an innovative co-enrollment program that provides a pathway for students interested in pursuing an engineering degree at Texas A&M University. Students admitted to the Engineering Academy at Dallas College are Texas A&M engineering students co-enrolled at Texas A&M University in the College of Engineering and at Dallas College Brookhaven Campus. 

Prequalification requirements:  
You must satisfy one of the math readiness criteria to be qualified for the Engineering Academy: 

  • Exams and scores for pre-calculus:  
    • SAT Math: 620-669 and high school pre-calculus with a grade of A or B 
    • ACT: 25+ and high school pre-calculus with a grade of A or B OR 28+ 
    • ALEKS: 66 or higher 
  • Exams and scores for calculus 1:  
    • SAT Math: 670 or higher AND high school pre-calculus l B or higher 
    • ACT Math: 30 or higher AND high school pre-calculus B or higher 
    • ALEKS Math: 76 or higher 
  • Course accepted to show college readiness for college students: MATH 1316 or higher
