The Texas A&M Engineering Academy at Blinn College-Brenham is an innovative co-enrollment program that provides a pathway for students interested in pursuing an engineering degree at Texas A&M University. Students admitted to the Engineering Academy at Blinn College-Brenham are Texas A&M engineering students co-enrolled at Texas A&M University in the College of Engineering and at Blinn College-Brenham. Blinn College-Brenham provides engineering students in the Engineering Academy program a residential on-campus experience in a living-learning community at Mill Creek Hall or Prairie Lea Hall. 

Prequalification requirements:  
You must satisfy one of the math readiness criteria to be qualified for the Engineering Academy: 

  • Exams and scores for pre-calculus (minimum requirements): 
    • ACT Math: 25  
    • SAT Math: 600  
    • Accuplacer Math: 263  
  • Exams and scores for calculus 1 (preferred requirements):  
    • ACT Math: 28  
    • SAT Math: 650  
    • Accuplacer Math: 276  
  • Course accepted to show college readiness: completion of college algebra with a B or better 
You must maintain a GPA above 3.0 and you must have enough courses to remain full-time for at least one year. All attempted math and science courses must be completed with a B or better.
