Dr. Timothy Jacobs has been named a fellow of the American Society of Mechanical Engineers, an honor conferred upon worthy candidates to recognize their outstanding engineering achievements.

Senior mechanical engineering student and Marine Corps veteran Matthew Curtis has made the most of his time at Texas A&M University, drawing upon his education and military experience to develop a potentially lifesaving new tourniquet.

Dr. Hong Liang, the newly named 2018-19 American Society of Mechanical Engineers Foundation Swanson Fellow, is researching how luminescent nanoparticles can potentially be used to detect cancer cells before a tumor forms.
