Recent News

Dr. Guillermo Aguilar is the new department head of the J. Mike Walker ’66 Department of Mechanical Engineering at Texas A&M University. He fills the position effective July 1, replacing Dr. Andreas Polycarpou.

Photolithography is used in the microfabrication of electronics to create intricate patterns or structures, layer by layer. Dr. Sy-bor Wen has developed a new photolithography technique capable of creating 3D designs with more precision and efficiency.

A research project led by Dr. Shoufeng Lan is seeking to develop a better, more cost-effective purification method for pharmaceuticals with the potential to deliver safer generics by utilizing electromagnetism at the atomic level.
