Dr. Walter Buchanan has been selected as a recipient of the 2018 Accreditation Board for Engineering and Technology Fellow Award. Starting as a program evaluator in 1987, he has served on the executive board of the Engineering Technology Accreditation Commission and several other committees.

Mike ’86 and Sandra Wilkinson ’86 have generously created the $25,000 George Wright Capstone Endowment to support students in the Electronic Systems Engineering Technology program at Texas A&M University.

A team of engineering students recently developed a modular device to assist individuals with visual impairment. With an attachable design and haptic feedback technology, users can utilize GPS and object detection technology without having to buy a new or expensive white cane.
