Dr. Walter Buchanan has been elected fellow of the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers for his leadership in accreditation activities of engineering technology programs. This is the highest grade of membership and is recognized by the technical community as a prestigious honor.

Two capstone teams are working with NASA scientists and engineers on an ultra-light aircraft and a dust collector assembly system for outer space. Both teams have visited the Johnson Space Center in Houston to meet their NASA customers and get started on their projects.

A team of researchers from Texas A&M University and The University of Texas at Austin is taking a deeper look into post-Harvey Houston to find new ways to combat construction-related labor exploitation and trafficking.
