Overview
In this program, students work on a research topic of their interest under the supervision of a professor from Texas A&M University at Qatar. Students will choose a research area of interest and will be matched with a faculty member. Students register for zero credits of ENGR 484 at Texas A&M University in the summer. The faculty of record for the ENGR 484 course is the co-op advisor of the student’s department.
The one-credit ENGR 484 can count as a technical elective, pending approval by each department. It will count as the international component of the Engineering International Certificate (global certificate).

Eligibility and Requirements
Admission to this program is competitive and availability is limited. Evaluation will be based on academic performance, application package materials and program goals. Only complete applications that meet all minimum admissions criteria will be accepted for evaluation.
Students who desire to study abroad in Qatar must have:
- Minimum 2.5 GPA
- Good academic standing with the university
- Attendance at all required program-specific orientations
- Sophomore, junior or senior classification (seniors graduating in the summer are not eligible)
