Why did you choose mechanical
engineering?
I chose mechanical engineering because it provides the fundamentals
to understand a variety of industries and solve different problems.
More specifically, I enjoy working with various pieces of equipment
including pumps, compressors, and heat exchangers.
Why did you choose Texas A&M
University?
Texas A&M has an acclaimed
engineering college and great culture. Many well-known corporations
are dedicated to the hiring of aggies based on the skills they
acquire while at this university. The culture fosters professional
and personal development providing the opportunity to establish a
great network and life-long friends.
What was the best part of your experience in the Texas
A&M MEEN department?
The collaboration and willingness of other people to assist you
have been outstanding. From scheduling to homework, everyone in the
department wants to provide you the best opportunity to
succeed.
Why did you become a MEEN
Ambassador?
I want to provide others the opportunity that I was given when I
arrived at Texas A&M. Everyone provided so many tools and
advice that have helped me become the person I am today.
What research, work, and/or study abroad experiences
have you had?
TransCanada Corporation as a project engineer (Summer '16) and for
Phillips 66 as a mechanical engineer (Summer '17)
If you could give one piece of advice to incoming MEEN
students, what would it be?
Continue to challenge yourself every day. Try new things and
improve your weaknesses. Texas A&M has great people to help and
support you. Everyone wants to see you grow and succeed.
