- Applicable Major(s): All engineering majors. Please consult with your departmental academic advisor to determine how this course fits within your degree plan.
- Prerequisites: Junior or senior classification or approval of instructor. Interested freshmen and sophomores will be considered on a case-by-case basis for the approval of the instructor. Students will need to demonstrate previous project experience, as the ability to participate and contribute to the project productively is crucial to success in this class.
- GPA: 2.5 (or instructor approval)

Overview
Students will have direct interaction with Greek students not only in the classroom but in a social setting as well, enhancing the cultural experience and giving a distinctive perception of what life in Greece is really like, contributing to the students’ global competency development and preparation to join the global engineering industry. This connection with the community makes the program unique.
The Global Engineering Design program covers:
- Intercultural models and their application to engineering design in diverse, multinational and multidisciplinary settings.
- Engineering design project working in international teams of students, faculty and industry experts.
- Applying engineering skills to the project.
- Includes the study and application of intercultural models and global enterprise fundamentals and remote collaboration technologies.
ENGR 410 is required for the International Engineering Certificate. It includes cultural excursions and technical visits. Students will have evenings and some weekends to study and explore Greece on their own. This course is open to all engineering students.
