We are very proud of our former students. They exemplify the core values of Texas A&M University and mentor and give back to current students pursuing a degree. They also support the Harold Vance Department of Petroleum Engineering with service and other contributions so we can continue to produce the best Aggie petroleum engineers possible.

While most of our former students work quietly behind the scenes, sometimes we find out about and spotlight a few, which we gladly share on this page.

After receiving scholarships that helped him attain his petroleum engineering degree, John Kalyondo ’20 was inspired by the generosity of the Aggie family to establish the PETE Class of ’20 Endowed Scholarship.

Susan and Keith MacIvor ‘85 support students who have graduated from Kansas, Oklahoma or Texas high schools through a scholarship founded to increase financial opportunity within higher education for aspiring petroleum engineers.

The First-Generation College Celebration Week dinner, hosted by the College of Engineering at Texas A&M University, featured shared experiences from guest speakers and former students Jim and Becky Wilkes ’78.

Two former engineering students teamed up with current faculty to create the prototype of a marketable device capable of autonomously drilling oil and geothermal wells safely and economically.

Robin Fielder ’02 has recently been named a Hart Energy 25 Influential Women in Energy honoree. The former CEO has stood out among women executives since graduating from the petroleum engineering department at Texas A&M University.

A generous donation of software, facilitated by former student George W. Voneiff '83 and backed by Datagration Solutions Inc., will improve the education of petroleum engineering students at Texas A&M University in advanced data solutions and analytics.
