Overview
This program introduces students to fundamental topics in power and energy systems, including three-phase circuits, transformers, and electromechanical systems, and prepares them for advanced courses in the area. The course covers basic concepts in the conversion of electric energy, either between different types of electric energy or between electricity and other forms of energy. It has an emphasis on renewable energy sources such as solar/wind/geothermal will be of particular importance in Chile.
