Become a peer mentor to incoming first-generation engineering students. The First-Generation Engineering (FGEn) Student Mentoring Program within Texas A&M University's College of Engineering will recruit peer mentors for the 2025-26 academic year.
Peer mentors play a critical role in the success of the FGEn Mentoring Program by providing an academic and social support network to help ease the transition from high school to college.
If selected, you will receive mentor training, develop your leadership skills, and have several opportunities to become more involved in the College of Engineering.
Graduate students can serve as a mentor but will not receive a stipend. Please visit the Faculty and Staff Mentors page for more information.
