Twelve individuals from around the nation attended a graduate student invitational in the Artie McFerrin Department of Chemical Engineering at Texas A&M University, where they learned first-hand about the program and had opportunities to meet and consult with faculty and students.

Dr. Christodoulos Floudas, director of the Texas A&M Energy Institute and the Erle Nye ’59 Chair Professor for Engineering Excellence, was awarded the Constantin Caratheodory Prize by the International Society of Global Optimization (iSoGO) in a presentation at the World Congress on Global Optimization in Gainesville, Florida, on Feb. 24.
