William J. and William R. Winkelmann have established the William J. ’73 and William R. ’09 Winkelmann Endowed Scholarship with their gift to the Texas A&M Foundation. Funds from this endowment will provide scholarships to undergraduate students in civil engineering.
William J. “Bill” Winkelmann earned his bachelor’s in civil engineering from Texas A&M University in 1973. His son, William R. Winkelmann, graduated from Texas A&M in 2009 with a degree in ocean engineering, a degree program in the Zachry Department of Civil Engineering.
Bill and his wife Diane have been active supporters of the Texas A&M Foundation and the Association of Former Students for the last 35 years.
