Eligibility

The Texas A&M Engineering Academy at Tarrant County College is for first-time students, full-time students and continuing students who have achieved a high school diploma or equivalent and are pre-calculus or calculus ready as determined by the Tarrant County College. Students interested in the Texas A&M Engineering Academy at Tarrant County College must first secure admission to Tarrant County College. 

First-time, full-time students should submit an application to Tarrant County College and an additional prequalification form. Students must take engineering, math and science courses at Tarrant County College.

Continuing students already enrolled at Tarrant County College who wish to participate in the Engineering Academy program should submit a prequalification form. Students must take engineering, math and science courses at Tarrant County College.

Tarrant County College will provide pre-qualified students the link to the Texas A&M Engineering Academy application. Students should submit the Texas A&M Engineering Academy application by June 15.

Successful applicants will receive an offer of admission from Texas A&M University to the Engineering Academy at Tarrant County College and will be advised on how to accept the offer and register for courses.

Students admitted and enrolled in the Texas A&M Engineering Academy program are engineering students in the College of Engineering at Texas A&M and are enrolled at Tarrant County College. Once enrolled, all courses must be completed through Tarrant County College and Texas A&M University-College Station. Students previously enrolled at Texas A&M University are not eligible to apply.
