You have been pre-qualified by the Texas A&M Engineering Academy at Tarrant County College two-year partner institution and received your unique link to the Texas A&M Engineering Academy application. Now what?

This page guides you through the application and helps you anticipate the required supplemental documents.

Application Deadlines

Your application is due June 15.

Preparing to Submit Your Application

To help you prepare to meet the deadline, take the following steps.

  1. You receive your unique link to the Texas A&M University application, which will first take you to an Admissions Login page. If this is your first time entering this site, you need to select the link for First Time User Account Creation.
  2. Follow the steps to create a Login ID and PIN. If you have previously submitted an Apply Texas application to Texas A&M and received a Net ID, this is not the same as the Login ID and PIN required for this application. Don’t forget to make a note of your PIN just in case you cannot complete and submit your application in one sitting. You will need the PIN when you return later to complete the application. If you forget your login or PIN, you will have to set up a new account and restart the application.
  3. You will be asked to Select an Application Type. Select Engineering Academy–NDS-TETC from the drop-down menu.
  4. You will be asked to enter your name and select an Admission Term. Select the upcoming fall semester in College Station for the admission term to indicate this is a program with the Texas A&M University campus in College Station that begins in the fall.
  5. You will see an application checklist. On this checklist page, you also are provided a link to email the Texas A&M Admissions Office with any questions.
  6. Following are tips for some of the application checklist pages. On any of the pages, you can select Return to the Checklist, Continue or Finish Later.
    • Planned course of study: This is where you will select the specific academy for which you are applying. You can only select one planned course of study and you should only choose the institution that has pre-qualified you.
    • Previous college: You must list all colleges/institutions that you have attended.
  7. Once you have completed all items on the Application Checklist and are ready to submit your application, select Application is Complete from the Checklist page. Here you will be asked to read a terms of agreement statement and select Agree to the Terms. Note: By selecting Agree to the Terms, you are submitting your application. Once an application has been submitted, it may not be edited.
  8. You will now be directed to a Signature Page that explains the next steps in the application process. Read the message so that you know what to expect. Failure to follow the instructions in this page may result in missing important information regarding your application status.

Additional Documents

What additional documents can I expect Texas A&M to require?

First-Time-in-College Students

First-time-in-college students are students without college credit or those whose only college credit was earned prior to high school graduation, such as dual credit, AP/IB, or early college high school.

First-time-in-college students need to submit the following.

  • Self-Reported Academic Record (SRAR) — All first-time-in-college students must complete the SRAR except for applicants not completing high school in the United States and GED graduates (specific requirements and additional details are available at SRAR FAQs if you fall into one of these categories). The Self-Reported Academic Record lists the courses (and associated grades) that have been completed, or will be completed, for high school and/or college credit. It replaces the high school transcript used by the Office of Admissions during the initial admission process. Since accuracy is critical, it is best to create the SRAR by referencing an official high school transcript. Applicants will enter their courses, grades, class rank (if provided on transcript), weighted GPA, and graduation plan in the SRAR. Texas residents reporting a top 10% ranking on the SRAR must also provide verification of ranking by submitting an official high school transcript. The following applicants are required to submit a high school transcript:
    • Texas residents reporting a top 10% ranking on the SRAR must also verify their ranking by submitting an official high school transcript.
    • Applicants not completing high school in the U.S. will not submit a SRAR but must submit official or certified copies of all secondary school records and/or examination results. All academic records not in English must be accompanied by a certified English translation. See Texas A&M Admissions for more details.
    • GED graduates will not submit a SRAR but must submit their official GED transcript and an official partial high school transcript(s). The original certificate and transcript(s) may be sent by mail or hand delivered to Admissions Customer Service.
    • Applicants who have already graduated high school must submit a SRAR and a final high school transcript.
  • Application fee - There is no fee incurred by the students applying to the Texas A&M Engineering Academy program.
  • Texas A&M Residency Questionnaire.
  • Bacterial meningitis proof of vaccination (if admitted).
  • Final high school transcript (if admitted).
  • OPTIONAL: SAT/ACT Scores (These must be sent by the testing agency and not the high school.) Due to the continued lack of availability of in-person testing opportunities, Texas A&M is not requiring ACT or SAT scores for academy applicants in 2023. Submitting test scores will not create any unfair advantages or disadvantages for the students who provide them.

Continuing College Students

Continuing college students are students who have earned college credits after earning a high school diploma.

Continuing college students need to submit the following items.

  • Official college transcripts - Every institution the student attends — including institutions where dual credit was earned — must submit transcripts. Texas A&M prefers electronic submission by SPEEDE. Other acceptable methods for sending transcripts include electronic submissions by eSCRIP-SAFE, AVOW, and the National Student Clearinghouse, or by mail as permitted for Texas A&M transfer applicants. The mailing addresses can be found on the Texas A&M Admissions website.
  • Application fee - There is no fee to apply to the Texas A&M Engineering Academy program.
  • Texas A&M Residency Questionnaire.
  • Bacterial Meningitis proof of vaccination (if admitted).
  • Final high school transcript (if admitted).
