Eligibility
The Texas A&M-Chevron Engineering Academy at Dallas College is for first-time, full-time students and continuing students who have achieved a high school diploma or equivalent and are pre-calculus or calculus ready as determined by Dallas College. Students interested in the academy must first secure admission to Dallas College.
First-time, full-time students should submit one of the following:
- An ApplyTexas application to Dallas College
- A Dallas College internal application
First-time and continuing students already enrolled through Dallas College who wish to participate in the Engineering Academy program should submit a prequalification form. All Texas A&M engineering courses are taught at the Dallas College Brookhaven Campus. Math and science courses may be taken through any Dallas College campus.
Dallas College will provide pre-qualified students the link to the Texas A&M Engineering Academy application. Students should submit the Texas A&M Engineering Academy application by June 1 and all supporting credentials by June 15 to the Texas A&M Office of Admissions.
Successful applicants will receive an offer of admission from Texas A&M University to the engineering academy at Dallas College and will be advised on how to accept the offer and register for courses.
Students admitted and enrolled in the Texas A&M-Chevron Engineering Academy program are engineering students in the College of Engineering at Texas A&M University and enrolled in Dallas College. Once enrolled, all courses must be completed through Dallas College and Texas A&M University. Students previously enrolled at Texas A&M University are not eligible to apply.
