Civil engineering former student Drew Dudley ’12 has been named to the 12 Under 12 Young Alumni Spotlight by The Association of Former Students. After receiving his graduate degree, he founded the DUDLEY engineering firm and has worked on major projects, including the Kyle Field renovation.

Shari and Carlton Smith have established the Shari ’81 and Carlton Smith ’80 Endowed Fellowship for students pursuing a graduate degree in electrical engineering in the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering at Texas A&M University.

Gabriel Tatman merged 3D printing with petroleum engineering research to produce a novel way of creating fracture surface geometries to better study proppant transport and fracture flows.

Dr. Gerard Coté and Dr. James Hubbard Jr. were named to the 2021 class of fellows for their research and entrepreneurship that covers scientific disciplines involved with the technology transfer of inventions for the benefit of society.

Dr. Jean C. Ragusa was named a fellow of the American Nuclear Society for his seminal contributions in high-performance scientific computing applied to nuclear energy and national security.

Dr. James Hubbard Jr. has been named to the 2021 class of National Academy of Inventors fellows, an honor that highlights academic inventors who have demonstrated a prolific spirit of innovation in creating or facilitating outstanding inventions.

Dr. Faruque Hasan was named director of the American Institute of Chemical Engineers, Computing and Systems Technology Division. Hasan hopes to further the efforts to solve some of Earth’s grand challenges that align with his research.
