The ISEN Partnership Program provides opportunities for companies to partner with the department in various and more formal ways. This program is intended to increase the department's visibility and streamline partnerships with industry. Furthermore, it will aid capstone projects for senior students, expose those same students to more opportunities for co-ops, internships and full-time employment, and make it easier for prospective industry partners to engage with the department. This program also provides a way for friends of the department to engage with and propel the department toward its goals in ways that are mutually beneficial. Rather than one-time projects, this program is designed to establish sustainable partnerships for the long-term.

The benefits to our industry partners include, but are not limited to:

  • Recruit students for co-ops, internships and full-time employment.
  • Engage with students through participation in the fall and spring IISE Career Fairs, information table, digital signage, etc.
  • Engage with student organizations such as Alpha Pi Mu, Institute of Industrial and Systems Engineers (IISE), Human Factors and Ergonomics Society, Institute for Operations Research and Management Sciences, and International Council on Systems Engineering.
  • Engage with faculty through consulting and research projects.

The benefits to the department include, but are not limited to:

  • Capstone projects for students in their senior year.
  • Financial sponsorship of the fall and/or spring IISE Career Fairs.
  • Industry tours for students and faculty.
  • Sponsorship of faculty-led research projects.
  • Insight into industry best practices and access to industry data for research.
  • Industry research equipment and in-kind donations.
