Favorite thing about Engineering Honors: My favorite thing about Engineering Honors is serving as an ambassador to outside entities, donors and corporations and the opportunity to associate with top students from across the College of Engineering.

Why I want to be an engineer: I want to be an engineer because I want to play a role in solving some the world's most pressing challenges. I want to turn ideas into a reality to help progress the world into the future.

Favorite aspect of Engineering Honors: My favorite thing about Engineering Honors is my exposure to undergraduate research. My experiences have not only helped me in my coursework, but has given me insights into many different fields and played a significant role in shaping my desired career path.

Why I want to be an engineer: As an engineer, I hope to develop innovative, life-saving treatments for a range of diseases.

Favorite aspect of Engineering Honors: My favorite thing about Engineering Honors is that it challenges and inspires me to become a better engineer and scientist.

Allison Hartmann - Sophomore

Why I want to be an engineer: Growing up, I enjoyed math and science. Engineering allows me to apply my knowledge to improve existing processes for society. Particularly, I am interested in utilizing chemical engineering in the food and beverage industry to create safer and healthier products for society.

Favorite aspect of Engineering Honors: I love the community created through Engineering Honors. Coming into a large university, Engineering Honors provides an avenue to connect with a smaller niche of engineers who enjoy challenges and exploring deeper into the class material. I particularly enjoy the Engineering Honors Seminars. Through the seminars, I have learned about study abroad, business, and research opportunities.

Why I want to be an engineer: I want to be an engineer because I want to create and build things that will improve people's lives. Also I think I can make fair amount of money while doing this, and I find the work intriguing and challenging.

Favorite aspect of Engineering Honors: My favorite thing about Engineering Honors is the people in it. I love interacting with people who strive to continually learn and excel.
