Eligibility
The Texas A&M-Concho Engineering Academy at Midland College is for first-time, full-time students and continuing students who have achieved a high school diploma or equivalent and are pre-calculus or calculus ready as determined by Midland College. Students interested in the academy must first secure admission to Midland College.
First-time, full-time students should submit an application to Midland College and an additional prequalification form. Students must take engineering, math and science courses at Midland College.
Continuing students already enrolled at Midland College who wish to participate in the Engineering Academy program should submit a prequalification form. Students must take engineering, math and science courses at Midland College.
Midland College will provide pre-qualified students the link to the Texas A&M Engineering Academy application. Students should submit the Texas A&M Engineering Academy application by June 1 and all supporting credentials by June 15 to the Texas A&M Office of Admissions.
Successful applicants will receive an offer of admission from Texas A&M University to the Texas A&M-Concho Engineering Academy at Midland College and will be advised on how to proceed and register for courses.
Students admitted and enrolled in the academy are students in Texas A&M University's College of Engineering and enrolled at Midland College. Once enrolled, all courses must be completed through Midland College and Texas A&M University. Students previously enrolled at Texas A&M University are not eligible to apply.
