For the sixth consecutive year, Texas A&M University’s College of Engineering is ranked No. 1 in Texas for its online graduate engineering program in the 2024 rankings from U.S. News & World Report.

The online engineering program ranked 14th in the nation overall, tied with Oklahoma State University and Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University, and tied for 10th among public universities. The program also tied for 17th overall for Best Online Graduate Engineering Programs for Veterans.

U.S. News evaluates schools based on a variety of factors, such as student engagement, faculty credentials, and services and technologies. More than 1,6000 online bachelor’s and master’s degree programs were evaluated in the rankings based on metrics specific to online learning. The rankings only include degree-granting programs offered primarily online by regionally accredited institutions.

Texas A&M’s online graduate engineering program caters to working professionals, offering degrees that equip students with essential skills and knowledge to advance their careers.

Three of the college’s department online degrees were also ranked in the top 20 in the nation. The Master of Engineering in electrical engineering and the Master of Science in engineering management ranked 11th overall. The Master of Engineering in industrial engineering ranked 12th.

The College of Engineering’s online graduate program currently offers 15 online master’s degree options and two doctoral degree options.
