The Department of Nuclear Engineering at Texas A&M University keeps its place on the podium in new rankings from U.S. News & World Report.

The department ranked second among public institutions for the 2024 best graduate programs, and Texas A&M is the only Texas university with a nuclear engineering program in the top 10.

The rankings are evidence of the hard work, determination and quality of our world-class faculty, students and staff. Our department is proud of this recognition and we will continue to move forward nurturing our country’s next generation of leaders.

Rankings for specialized programs are determined solely by peer institution department heads. According to U.S. News & World Report, department heads from 28 nuclear engineering programs were surveyed in the fall of 2023 for their rankings of peer institutions.

“I am proud that we continue to be recognized as a premier institution and destination for future nuclear engineers,” said Dr. Pavel Tsvetkov, nuclear engineering graduate programs director.

The College of Engineering also remained steady in the top 10 overall “Best Graduate Engineering Schools” for engineering.
