Giok Kwa and David L. Boothe '80 have established the Giok Kwa and David L. Boothe '80 Scholarship. This endowment will be used to provide one or more scholarships to full-time students in good standing pursuing an undergraduate degree in the Department of Engineering Technology and Industrial Distribution at Texas A&M University.

David graduated from Texas A&M with a degree in engineering technology in 1980. He recently retired after working as a geophysicist at ExxonMobil Exploration for 40 years.

He and Giok currently reside in Houston, Texas.
