Bradley L. Worsham ’88 has established the Bradley L. “Brad” Worsham ’88 HEEP Fellowship in the College of Engineering to be used to provide one or more fellowships to full-time students in good standing pursuing a graduate degree in engineering from Texas A&M University.

Bradley WorshamThe HEEP Graduate Fellowship is awarded to those who demonstrate outstanding academic performance, research ability, potential and leadership qualities. These students work under the supervision of a Hagler Institute for Advanced Study (HIAS) faculty fellow to complete research studies. These faculty fellows, from around the world, are invited to study at the institute. Since its inception, the HIAS has hosted faculty fellows with one Hubbell Prize in Literature, two Nobel Laureates, 18 National Academy of Sciences Memberships, and 21 National Academy of Engineering Memberships.

The Worshams saw benefit in introducing students from Texas A&M to the worldwide academic community. They feel this experience allows students to gain a better understanding of the global community.

“While Texas A&M is itself an inspirational place, former students and professors are the keys to maximizing opportunities and lifelong learning for students,” Worsham said. “It is in this light that I chose to contribute to the fellowship endowment, to enable graduate students to take advantage of the extraordinary opportunities created by HIAS.”

Worsham and his wife Liz have generously supported Texas A&M through various contributions to the university. He is a member of the aerospace engineering advisory board and earned his bachelor’s degree from the department in 1988.

As a former President’s Endowed Scholarship recipient, Worsham understands the direct impact that scholarship has on students.

“The generosity of my donors changed the course of my life, as I would not have attended Texas A&M without their gift,” he said.
