Image of Lawrence RauschwergerDr. Lawrence Rauchwerger, Eppright Professor in the Department of Computer Science and Engineering at Texas A&M University, served as program co-chair of the ACM/IEEE 25th International Conference on Parallel Architectures and Compilation Techniques (PACT).

The conference was held Sept. 11-15 in Haifa, Israel, which is home to the Technion – Israel Institute of Technology. PACT brings together researchers specializing in architecture, compilers, applications and languages to present and discuss innovative research of common interest. Workshops, tutorials and keynotes were held throughout the duration of the event.

For several years, Rauchwerger has served on the steering committee of PACT, and also chaired its technical program and organizational  committee.

This year, PACT celebrated 25 years since it inception. Rauchwerger co-organized a companion workshop, the Workshop on Architecture and Software for Emerging Applications that was sponsored by the National Science Foundation, and attracted the participation of top researchers from around the world.
