Virginia Stiles Westbrook ’77, Robert F. Stiles ’79 and David T. Stiles ’81 have established the Shirley & Loren Harvin Stiles ’46 Endowed Memorial Scholarship in memory of their parents. Undergraduate students pursuing a degree in civil engineering from Texas A&M will be eligible for this scholarship.

Loren Harvin Stiles graduated with a bachelor’s degree in civil engineering from Texas A&M. He received the Purple Heart and the Bronze Star Medal after fighting in World War II and was an honorary professional licensed engineer. His wife Shirley gave to Texas A&M for over 40 years, primarily to the Association of Former Students.

Westbrook received her bachelor’s degree in education and curriculum and instruction and her brothers Robert and David, earned their degrees in civil engineering and mechanical engineering, respectively.
