Dr. Terry S. Creasy, associate professor in the Department of Materials Science and Engineering at Texas A&M University, has been appointed to the editorial board of the Society for the Advancement of Material and Process Engineering Journal (SAMPE). Creasy begins his new role in the fall.
Creasy has advised the Texas A&M SAMPE student chapter since it was founded in 2011 and was recently elected to chair the South Texas Chapter of the society.
“The SAMPE Journal is a key publication that helps industrial development engineers and academic researchers interact with advance materials and processes in every application,” said Creasy.
Creasy’s Synthetic Multifunctional Composites Group studies polymer processing for property control, hybrid multifunctional materials, nastic materials for active structures, nanoscale and microscale properties of materials and equal channel angular extrusion of polymer matrix composites.
The Society for the Advancement of Material and Process Engineering (SAMPE®) is a global professional member society that provides information on new materials and processing technology either via conferences, exhibitions, technical forums, publications or books in which professionals in this field can exchange ideas. As the only technical society encompassing all fields of endeavor in materials and processes, SAMPE provides a unique and valuable forum for scientists, engineers and academicians.
