Dr. Ray and Beverly Mentzer have established the Nathan A. Mentzer ’11 Scholarship in the Department of Mechanical Engineering at Texas A&M University. The endowed scholarship will provide one or more scholarships to full-time students in good standing who are pursuing an undergraduate degree in mechanical engineering.
The scholarship is named in honor of their son, Nathan, who received his bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering from Texas A&M. Ray Mentzer is currently a senior lecturer in the Artie McFerrin Department of Chemical Engineering. He and Beverly both retired from distinguished careers with ExxonMobil.
The couple has two children, both graduates of Texas A&M, Nathan ’11 and Rebecca who earned her degree in economics in 2015. They reside in The Woodlands, Texas.
