Approximately 700 students will participate in one of the largest nationwide events of its kind — the fourth annual Texas A&M University Engineering Project Showcase — on April 29 from noon to 4 p.m. in the Hall of Champions at Kyle Field. More than $10,000 in prizes and awards will be given this year.
The showcase will feature work developed by almost 150 teams from areas such as Capstone Design classes, AggiE_Challenge projects, student design teams, Aggies Invent, Engineering Projects in Community Service (EPICS), undergraduate research and Startup Aggieland. Any student within the college of engineering has the opportunity to present a project at the showcase.
Industry representatives are invited to attend to see the work of the engineering students and discuss collaborations on future students projects with faculty. Any industry representatives interested in judging are welcomed to help this year.
The event is free and open to the public. Attendees will have the opportunity to meet with the students involved in each project to discuss the details of the projects and learn how the students have applied their knowledge from the classroom to the solution in their projects.
