The Chemical Engineering Graduate Student Association (ChEGSA) at Texas A&M University organized its third annual research symposium, giving graduate students in the Artie McFerrin Department of Chemical Engineering an opportunity to present their research and network with industry partners.
Ninety-five graduate students showcased their research for faculty and professionals representing The Dow Chemical Company, Chevron, Shell, BASF, INEOS, Kaneka Foundation, Axalta, Schlumberger, Exxon Mobil, Lynntech, Bryan Research & Engineering, Wood Group and Phillips 66.
“We are grateful to our sponsors for supporting our outreach mission,” said Yanpu Zhang, president of ChEGSA.
Nine students received certificates for best poster and oral presentation awards.
Dr. Norman E. Byrne, senior R&D director at Dow Oil, Gas & Mining delivered the keynote address describing the company’s contributions in the field of chemical engineering.
