The Master of Industrial Distribution (MID) program at Texas A&M University has been selected as one of the recipients of the 2016 Texas Distance Learning Association (TxDLA) Award for Outstanding Commitment to Excellence and Innovation by a four-year higher education institution.
Bharani Nagarathnam, associate director for graduate programs in the Department of Engineering Technology and Industrial Distribution, runs the MID program.
“We are proud to have a committed team of faculty and professional staff to deliver relevant, practical and cutting-edge education to working professionals,” Nagarathnam said. “We are also tankful for the support of the COE remote learning team.”
The MID program is a 21-month, part-time, lock-step, online graduate program designed for working professionals. The program focuses on supply chain management, logistics and profitability of distributors and manufacturers (suppliers) in the industrial channels. The program involves immersive learning and experiences such as residency week, a global class and trip and a capstone project.
TxDLA provides recognition of outstanding achievements in statewide distance learning through its annual awards program.
