Laura Byrd, Courtney Charanza, Debra Hanson and Eleanor Schuler are four of 25 individuals selected to receive the 2015-16 President’s Meritorious Service Award.

All four will receive their award during a ceremony Feb. 29 at 3:30 p.m. in the in the Memorial Student Center’s Bethancourt Ballroom on the Texas A&M University campus. Nominations for the award were submitted in the fall, and an anonymous committee comprised of representatives from across campus, selected the winners.

Byrd is a program assistant in graduate student services in the Zachry Department of Civil Engineering, Charanza is an academic business administrator I in the Department of Mechanical Engineering, Hanson is the engineering organizational services manager in the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering and Schuler is a senior administrative coordinator in the graduate program in the Harold Vance Department of Petroleum Engineering.

Each individual recipient receives a $1,000 cash award, a commemorative plaque and a lapel pin. Awards are funded through the generosity of The Association of Former Students and the program is coordinated by Texas A&M Human Resources.
