1Graduate students from the Master of Industrial Distribution (MID) program at Texas A&M University recently visited Singapore and Malaysia. The 70 students are working professionals from various channels, each with an average of 13 years of work experience. The visit was part of the Global Distribution course that involves experiential learning with live projects with Brenntag, TTI Asia, Rockwell Automation and Flowserve.

This is the largest class the MID program has taken abroad in the last 10 years. The class worked on 12 projects with the four companies. The students visited the project companies, toured operations and participated in a panel discussion with executives from multiple companies. More than 30 managers and executives from the companies met with the students to answer questions.

The students also visited the operations of Baker Hughes in Singapore and Baker Hughes 4R in Johor Bahru, Malaysia.

The 12 teams are working to provide solutions for various projects for the four companies and will present their recommendations to the companies at the end of November.
