Lutkenhaus, JDr. Jodie Lutkenhaus, William and Ruth Neely Faculty Fellow and associate professor in the Artie McFerrin Department of Chemical Engineering at Texas A&M University, is a finalist in the energy category of the 2015 World Technology Network Awards.

“I am honored to be a finalist,” said Lutkenhaus. “It is exciting to stand among such groundbreaking individuals."

Lutkenhaus’ research interests include the design of organic thin films and nanostructures to enable the development of novel organic energy systems and smart coatings. Areas of investigation include the behavior of polymer thin films and coatings, thermal analysis, polyelectrolytes and electroactive polymers for energy storage. Her group has made new strides in the area of bendable batteries.

The 2015 World Technology Summit & Awards exists to celebrate innovative accomplishments; to explore what is imminent, possible and important in and around emerging technologies; and to create the kinds of serendipitous relationships that build the future. Awards will be announced Nov. 19-20 in New York City at the Time & Life Building.
