Dr. Yossef Elabd, professor in the Artie McFerrin Department of Chemical Engineering at Texas A&M University, is a senior visiting fellow at the world’s oldest university, the University of Bologna, in Italy.
At the invitation of its Institute of Advanced Studies, Elabd will present an institution-wide lecture entitled, “Will We Ever Drive Fuel Cell Cars?” on May 26. He will deliver a department seminar May 29 entitled, "Water in Glassy Polymers: Non-Fickian Diffusion and Nonequilibrium Thermodynamics.”
Established in 1088 and boasting a current enrollment of approximately 85,000 students, the university is one of the most prestigious in the world.
"I am excited to share our research in energy to a broad audience," said Elabd. "I hope that my talk will inspire others to think differently about fuel cells and the future possibilities of portable power.”
