JgDr. Jaime Grunlan, professor in the Department of Mechanical Engineering at Texas A&M University, has been invited to become a member of the International Advisory Boards of Macromolecular Rapid Communications and Macromolecular Materials and Engineering

Macromolecular Rapid Communications publishes high priority research in polymer science ranging from chemistry and physics of polymers to polymers in materials science and life sciences.

Macromolecular Materials and Engineering is a high-quality polymer science journal dedicated to the design, modification, characterization and processing of advanced polymeric materials.

“This is a major honor for a polymer-focused researcher like myself,” said Grunlan. “It will also increase visibility for Texas A&M. Both journals have high rejection rates because they have high impact factors and receive far more submissions than they can publish.

“My group has published several times in both and our work has been featured on the cover of both.”

Grunlan, who is also the director of the Polymer NanoComposites Laboratory, was selected for his outstanding experience and important achievements in the field of polymer nanocomposites and his leading reputation in the research community.

As a member of the boards, Grunlan will advise on topics and authors of interest, offer support in identifying new trends and developments, and encourage colleagues to contribute their top results to the journals.
