Shankar Annamalai, a graduate of the Department of Mechanical Engineering at Texas A&M University, has been named vice president of operations for Technical Solutions.
Annamalai, who also received a MBA from A&M, will drive the overall operational excellence in the business unit, delivering expected results in the area of safety, quality, delivery and cost. He will oversee all operations and site leads, real estate and EHS.
Annamalai has been with Pentair for 10 years and was most recently the director of operations in the Americas for the valves and controls business unit. In this role, he focused on lean transformation in legacy sites, stabilization in certain facilities and service improvements across the board. Prior to joining Pentair, he worked for Siemens in their operational development leadership program in Chicago and Mexico.
