The Zachry Department of Civil Engineering at Texas A&M University held its annual Professional Day recently. Practicing engineers and former students of the department from civil engineering companies across the state were in attendance to visit with students and give presentations on their experience in the workforce.
The afternoon began with concurrent technical presentations in each area of civil engineering followed by a panel discussion and reception. Presentations focused on how the profession has developed, what trends are expected in the near future, and what companies expect of new hires.
