Dr. M. Katherine Banks, vice chancellor and dean of engineering, has been selected to receive the Gator Engineering Leadership Award from the University of Florida’s College of Engineering.
The award, which is designed to honor engineering graduates who have demonstrated leadership in innovation, law, medicine, industry or public policy, will be presented to Banks at the “Powered to Lead: Gator Engineering Leadership & Diversity Summit,” on Jan. 15.
Banks, who received a bachelor’s degree from the University of Florida, is also a panelist at the summit that is being held at the university’s Reitz Union Grand Ballroom.
