The Houston section of the Society of Tribologists and Lubrication Engineers (STLE) awarded scholarships to two engineering graduate students from Texas A&M University.
Fevzi Ozaydin from the Department of Mechanical Engineering, and Yunyun Chen from the Department of Materials Science and Engineering received the scholarships in April. The award is to encourage students to study tribology, an important area that is related to all engineering and science disciplines.
Fevzi works on creating unique materials to improve the wear problems in metals. Yunyun redesigns the components in implants to help patients heal quicker.
