smart grid workshopThe Smart Grid Center, established in August 2012, organized a workshop to develop further collaborative efforts with industry, government and partner institutions. The workshop was held at the main campus of Texas A&M University on April 8, 2014.

For the invited talks, panel sessions and focus group discussions, 177 attendees gathered including 28 faculty members from the Texas A&M System in Texas, 21 experts representing industries, such as ERCOT, GE, ABB, IBM, NI, Alstom, Honeywell, SWR and government agencies (National Institute of Standards & Technology, Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory, Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory, Oak Ridge National Laboratory, National Renewable Energy Laboratory) and 103 students. Visitors from Qatar, Brazil and Mexico also participated in the workshop.
