CSE Former Student Steve Swanson has successfully boarded the International Space Station and is ready to begin his six month stay roughly 250 miles above the Earth’s surface. The docking of the Soyuz spacecraft that transported Swanson and two cosmonauts to the station was delayed due to non-life threatening mechanical problems.

Dr. Swanson will transition to commander of the Russian Federal Space Agency Expedition and return to Earth in September 2014.
