Photo of ThreadgillsSharon and Jack Threadgill ’63 have been active supporters of the Dwight Look College of Engineering and Texas A&M University for more than 30 years. Their most recent gifts benefit the Artie McFerrin Department of Chemical Engineering and the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering.

The John W. Juett Memorial Scholarship was established in memory of Sharon’s father and will serve as a reminder of his lasting legacy. Undergraduate students pursuing a degree in chemical engineering will be eligible for this scholarship.

The Michael John Pinkston ’15 Endowed Scholarship was established in honor of the Threadgills’ grandson. This endowment focuses on students pursuing and undergraduate degree in electrical and computer engineering.

During his time at A&M, Jack was a member of the Corps of Cadets and fondly recalls the camaraderie between he and his fellow cadets. Because of this connection, he and Sharon have made it a requirement for those students academically eligible for their scholarships to also be a cadet in the Corps.

Jack and Sharon reside in Bryan and have three children, Shannon Pinkston, Randy Threadgill and Barry Threadgill.
