Little _dallasDr. Dallas Little, Snead Chair Professor and Regents Professor in the Zachry Department of Civil Engineering, has been named the Saudi-Aramco Honorary Chair in asphalt technology at King Faisal University (KFU) in Saudi Arabia.

Saudi-Aramco, the world’s largest oil company which produces more than $1 billion in revenue per day, endowed the Saudi-Aramco Scientific Chair at KFU in 2013. Little will serve as Honorary Chair and work closely with Dr. Imad Al-Qadi, Founders Professor at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, who will serve as “Advisor” to the program.

Both Little and Dr. Al-Qadi were selected for their respective positions based on “their distinguished scientific, practical experience and academic expertise” in the area of infrastructure engineering.

Little says that the relationship with KFU and Saudi-Aramco offers attractive opportunities for the Zachry Department of Civil Engineering and in particular the Materials and Transportation Division on many horizons.
