Research Interests

  • My primary research interest is the applied research and development of unmanned aerial systems (UASs) for a wide variety of commercial and civil applications. I am currently participating in several research efforts with Texas A&M AgriLife Research related to using UASs for remote sensing. These efforts mostly involve using fixed-wing UASs with high resolution visual and multispectral cameras for various agriculture applications. Another effort involves the integration of multiple cameras and gas sensors including a thermal camera onto an octocopter UAS for monitoring infrastructure in oil and gas fields.
