According to student rule 10.21, an undergraduate student may attempt a course no more than three times. If a required course on the Mechanical Engineering Degree Plan is not passed with a "C" or better after the third attempt, the student is no longer eligible to continue as a mechanical engineering major. Q-dropping or withdrawing from a course will count as one attempt. Students attempting a course for a third time will be placed on departmental probation.
