Departmental research on sustainability involves technologies that allow humans to enjoy a high standard of living while minimizing environmental impact. Research groups in our department are developing high-impact sustainable technologies such as biofuels, food processing, water desalination, carbon capture, energy storage, batteries, and energy efficiency.
