Engineering Honors' Enhancing the Development of Global Engineers (EH EDGE) is a seven-semester cohort program for Engineering Honors students focused on developing the skills needed to lead, collaborate, and work effectively across teams and cultures.
Through weekly classes, applied experiences, and an international field experience, EDGE students explore topics including self-awareness, teamwork, creativity, global engagement, and leadership while progressing through the program together as a cohort.
What To Expect
Weekly Classes
EDGE students meet once each week throughout the seven-semester program. Classes are
interactive and discussion-based, with activities, assessments, case studies, and projects that
build from semester to semester.
Cohort Experience
Students progress through the program as a cohort, building relationships through shared classes and experiences.
Experiences Beyond the Classroom
Team-building activities, networking, and other experiences extend learning beyond the weekly
class.
International Field Experience
Following junior year, students participate in an international field experience focused on
culture, communication, collaboration, and working across differences.
Application Details
EDGE is designed for Engineering Honors students beginning their first year at Texas A&M
University and requires a seven-semester commitment.
To be eligible, students must:
- Be a first-year student in Engineering Honors
- Be able to participate in the weekly EDGE class throughout the program.
To be accepted and remain in the program, you must have at least a 3.5 GPA and be in good standing with the Engineering Honors Program.
